Platform

High-Volume VAS Platforms

SMS and MMS engines, SDP clients and DSTK applications delivering value-added services for 23+ telecom operators across ten MENA countries.

Value-added services is the least glamorous and most demanding work in this portfolio: high-volume SMS and MMS engines, service delivery platform clients, WAP Push, and generic Dynamic SIM Toolkit applications, all integrated directly with carrier infrastructure.

Across roles at Info2cell, Mayaal and VasHouse, this platform work reached more than 23 regional telecom operators — including Zain Jordan and Iraq, Orange Jordan, Ooredoo and Etisalat — spanning ten MENA countries: Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Palestine, Iraq and Sudan.

The engineering constraints here are throughput, delivery guarantees and operator compliance — and every operator integration is subtly different from the last. The customer-care and content-publishing web interfaces that sit on top are what make the platform usable by the people who run it.
